BigFoot Visits the Big Cities of the World - Another BigFoot Sighting

Adventures are what make life exciting, but sometimes being prepared for the worst can make or break an outdoor excursion. Carrying a Swiss Army Knife, and knowing how to use it for a myriad of survival situations, is paramount when you’re on a hike, camping, or performing other outdoor activities.

“Emergency situations happen all of the time,” says outdoor enthusiast and writer Bryan Lynch. “We put our seat belts on every time we enter a car not because we want to get into an accident, but just in case. Why not take that same approach to other emergency situations.”

“A must read for those looking to get the most from their Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, a perfect addition to any outdoorsman’s toolbox. It would be a great guide to teaching youth or beginner knife safety, usage, and maintenance; as well as giving experienced users some projects to further their skill set.” ~ Emergency Management Professionals, LLC

Lynch is the author of a new book, Swiss Army Knife Camping & Outdoor Survival Guide: 101 Tips, Tricks & Uses, which aims to help sharpen survival skills using the Swiss Army Knife and to be prepared and confident in any survival situation. This is the first survival guide of its kind to feature the Swiss Army Knife.

“Fox Chapel is very proud to team with Victorinox in creating this fun and useful book,” says Christopher Reggio, Fox Chapel Publishing’s vice president of content. “Everyone from die-hard campers to the casual outdoors person can learn the cool uses of their Swiss Army Knife with this book.”

With 101 different emergency situations, Lynch shows how to use the iconic red multi-tool to ensure you’ll always be ready for life’s challenges. With a 5 x 7 trim, it’s perfectly sized to go along on trips and is a giftable and useful book for scouts, outdoor enthusiasts, survivalists, and anyone who owns a Swiss Army Knife.

“It’s a survival guide for my survival tool.”
~Jim Shepherd, Editor, The Outdoor Wire

The book is practical yet relatable. When asked how it’s different than other survival guides on the market, Lynch states, “It features a fairly small tool to accomplish some big jobs. Also, I use quite a bit of humor in my book to keep the topics light-hearted. I would like to think that if someone had this book in a real survival situation it would give them a smile once in a while and thereby enhancing their morale—also very important in survival situations.”
