10 SCROLL SAW PROJECTS TO MAKE FOR KIDS
Scroll Saw Baby Animals by Judy and Dave Peterson
Judy Peterson has been scroll sawing puzzles for 30 years! Her puzzles are recognizable for their freestanding ability using hardwoods. Take a look at the gallery below to see her work and patterns you can try from her newest book, Scroll Saw Baby Animals.
A former schoolteacher and librarian, Judy found her niche in life as a woodworker. She bought her first saw in 1990 and, within the first six months, was cutting and creating her own designs. A winner of many design awards, Judy now sells her puzzles at science fiction convention art shows around the country. Together with her husband Dave, she has written numerous articles for Scroll Saw Woodworking and Crafts. Dave is officially retired after a career in programming and systems analysis. His interest in computers, databases, and spreadsheets makes him suited to run the record-keeping side of Judy’s small business. Scroll Saw Baby Animals is the result of their sixth collaboration.
“My customers ask for animal puzzles a lot, which reinforced my own interest in them. My own interests combined with my customers’ requests made a powerful reason for designing new animal puzzles,” said Judy when asked why she created Scroll Saw Baby Animals.

I’m looking for more of the jigsaw puzzles with smaller pieces like the water fall
Jim, this would be a good book for you. > https://foxchapelpublishing.com/making-wooden-jigsaw-puzzles.html
Are there any computer videos showing woodcarvings of blade covers? I did some whittling, some 10 -15 years ago at an Escapees conference in Gillette Wyoming. I would like to start over now that I’m retired. Will start a woodcarving class at Fresno Idea Works on 8/13/23…. it is about a 50 mile commute. Need help finding others near Visalia CA, interested in woodcarving.
